Bug Fixes

We fixed the topic pinning filter in Group Metlists so members can now filter between pinned and unpinned conversations.

We resolved an issue preventing members from seeing which events they had registered for on the calendar.

Previous Releases

July was a busy month for us. Our attention was mainly on expanding our team while building and redesigning features. While this led to releasing a bit less than usual, we used our time to focus on feedback, testing, and fixing some important bugs.

Bug Fixes

Members weren’t able to see all suggested connections in their network. We patched some things up, and now you can scroll to see all the suggestions.

We fixed some inconsistencies in profile preview sizing. When members click on a profile picture, the profile preview no longer covers the entire window.

Some members were still able to participate in the team chat via messages after leaving a team. We connected teams and messages so that members who leave a team no longer have access to the team chat.

In June, our team focused on making Metwork a better place for professional organizations. We reviewed “Associations” capabilities and fixed bugs that prevented collaboration within associations. “Law Firms” now allows law firms become part of Metwork, making communication and planning across the firm easier.

New features and improvement

Law Firms join Metwork.

Collaborate with your law firm on Metwork! Plan events, send communications, create teams,  manage your firm’s membership, and more.

See where to find us at events this year.

We launched a new events page on our website to let members and future members know which events we’ll be at so we can connect.

See your progress as your create your profile.

A progress bar is now part of  the onboarding section, so new members can keep track of how much of the process they’ve gotten done.

Bug Fixes

Profile picture avatars were displaying incorrectly in the chat with support. Now, you’ll see your profile picture and a different picture for support.

Members were being blocked from creating a team. We fixed that so members can successfully build their teams with no obstacles.

When creating a referral, there was no requirement for the amount of digits in a zip code or way to know if there was a mistake.  Now, you’ll get an error message if you type the wrong amount of digits in a zip code.

Fixes in “Associations”

Some members had trouble creating new threads in an association’s Metlist if they weren’t an admin. We gave all association members the ability to start a new thread.

Association admin are now able to access and manage all groups created within the association, and invite new members to their association.

Some association group members were not able to see requests to join their group. Members can now review and approve requests to join their group within an association.

This month’s releases focus on Teams and new member onboarding. We improved the sign-up and onboarding process, making sure the order of events and communication made sense. After an in-depth review of the Teams module, we found various bugs that needed fixing.

New features and improvement

Begin signing up for Metwork with clearer steps.

We revamped the email that new members receive when they sign up and the steps that follow. After verifying their email, new members can specify whether they are an attorney or paralegal to follow the correct  sign up flow.

Paralegals receive more updates on the sign-up process.

A notification now tells paralegals that the full site cannot be accessed until Metwork has verified their sponsorship.

Bug Fixes

Some members were not seeing results when searching for others in their network. We cleared that up.

When joining a team, the “Accept” button wasn’t doing its job. Now, it lets people accept the invitation and become part of the team.

Team descriptions weren’t showing up in the details tab. Now, they’re completely visible, so members can read what they need to know about the team.

When clicked, profile picture avatars didn’t navigate to that member’s profile. We patched some things up to make that work.

When building a team, recommended team members disappear from the recommended list once invited.

Some members received an erroneous message about a successful charge before entering payment information. We fixed the message so that it popped up when it should.

Connect with attorneys and paralegals across the country using the new Community Forum.

The new community forum allows members to create topics to discuss industry trends, seek advice, or chat about interests.

Create groups and committees from your association dashboard.

We fixed a bug that prevented members from adding a new group or committee directly from their association’s dashboard.

Attract new association members with visible descriptions.

Association descriptions, including sections such as “About Us” and “Why Join,” are now visible for potential members to view.

Join Metwork through your association.

Association memberships are now possible, with manager profiles added immediately and an automated onboarding process available to association members.

Refresh your referral queue more efficiently.

With the click of one button, members can now easily put a new queue together if their referral has been declined or timed out.

Find connections easier in and out of your Network.

Members are now able to see connections in their network in a specific law field. The law fields in each member’s Network dashboard display connections as users hover their mouse over the field. If the user clicks on a specific field, the algorithm will display suggested connections.

Organize association events using the calendar.

Association events are now listed in chronological order according to the calendar, with the next event at the top of the list.

Become a founding member.
